As a Oneworld Elite, I rarely fly Delta these days. During my return trip from LAX, I had the opportunity to swing by this lounge getting access with my American Express Platinum Card. This lounge was very large and a standout option at LAX when flying Delta. Here’s a full overview of the lounge.

Location & Access
The Delta Sky Club is located in Terminal 3, airside, and is easily accessible for passengers flying Delta or connecting through the Delta terminal complex (including the airside connector to TBIT). Signage is clear, and wait times are generally reasonable outside of peak evening departure banks. During my visit, the lounge was relatively empty but started to fill up as the evening went on. LAX is a major Delta Hub so the lounge can easily get crowded.

Access is available to:
- Delta One passengers
- Delta Sky Club members
- Eligible American Express cardholders (such as Platinum Card holders, subject to current access rules)
- Select elite and partner airline passengers
First Impressions & Layout
Upon entering, the lounge immediately feels open and upscale, with high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and plenty of natural light. The design leans modern California—c
lean lines, neutral tones, and subtle luxury finishes—without feeling sterile.

The lounge is very large, which helps it absorb crowds better than many Sky Clubs. Seating is spread across multiple zones, including:
- Traditional lounge chairs for relaxing
- Dining tables near the food stations
- Bar seating
- Quiet work-friendly areas with ample power outlets
Even during busy periods, it’s usually possible to find a seat, which is a major win at an airport like LAX. Their is a mini sports viewing area with a large TV showing local games. During my visit, I caught half of the Lakers and San Antonio Spurs game here while sipping away on sparking water.
Outdoor Sky Deck

One of the highlights of the Delta Sky Club LAX is the outdoor terrace, a rare and highly appreciated feature. My flight wasn’t scheduled to take off until the later portions of the evening and I was able to enjoy the sunset out on this terrace.
The deck offers:
- Open-air seating
- Views of the tarmac and aircraft movements
- A relaxed, breezy atmosphere that feels distinctly Southern California
- Full Service Bar
Food & Beverage
The food offering at this Sky Club is above average for domestic lounges. Expect:
- A rotating hot buffet
- Fresh salads and cold options
- Snacks, soups, and desserts
The full-service bar is another strong point, serving complimentary house wines, beers, and well drinks, with premium cocktails and spirits available for purchase. The Delta Sky Club food offerings have also been a tick better than comparable American and United Clubs.
While it won’t replace a sit-down restaurant, the quality and variety are more than sufficient for a proper pre-flight meal.
Amenities & Workspaces

The lounge is well equipped for both productivity and relaxation:
- Reliable high-speed Wi-Fi
- Plenty of power outlets and USB ports
- Clean, well-maintained restrooms
- Shower suites
- You can register via QR code and get a text when its your turn.
Business travelers will appreciate the ability to comfortably work, while leisure travelers can easily unwind before a long flight.
Overall Atmosphere
What really makes the Delta Sky Club LAX stand out is its balance. It manages to feel premium without being pretentious, busy without being chaotic, and functional without sacrificing comfort. Compared to many U.S. airline lounges, it feels closer to an international business-class lounge experience (on par with American Airlines Flagship).
Final Thoughts
The Delta Sky Club at LAX is one of the best Sky Clubs in Delta’s domestic network and a major upgrade over older lounge concepts. With its spacious layout, outdoor terrace, solid food and drink options, and modern design, it’s an excellent place to spend time before a flight especially if you’re departing from or connecting through Los Angeles.
If you have access, it’s absolutely worth arriving at the airport a bit early to check out this lounge.
