Andaz is Hyatt’s luxury brand that offers a “personalized experience” and offers a boutique, locally immersive experience focused on bring vibrant locally influenced design. I personally enjoy staying at such properties and prefer the boutique atmosphere in contrast to say a Grand Hyatt or Hyatt Regency. Jen and I had the opportunity to visit the Hyatt Andaz Napa, which was pleasantly enjoyable. Here’s the full review!

Booking
Booking free nights at the Andaz Napa or many other luxury Hyatt properties in the U.S. has gotten tougher over the years. It has been increasingly difficult to find award nights on stays of 2 nights, but I lucked out this time. I have tried to book award nights several times over the years with no luck. The Andaz Napa is a category 6 Hotel costing 21,000 points for off peak, 25,000 for standard, and 29,000 points for peak. I try to shy away from paying peak pricing at all cost. During this visit, I had one free night certificate for any hotel category 1-7 and used 25,000 points for the other night.
Location
The Andaz Napa is located in the heart of downtown Napa right along the main road. Parking is provided in the lot behind the property which is shared with the other visitors. The hotel sits a few blocks away from the Napa River, the Oxbow Public Market, Gotts Roadside, and a number of fantastic dining options.
The Hotel
As a Hyatt Global and Loyalist, I have stayed in many Hyatt properties over the years, but surprisingly this is only the second Andaz I have ever visited. Most of my trip were to Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Centric, of a unique hotel from the Unbound Collection.
The one key standout of this Andaz property was the boutique feel that perfectly aligned with the Napa vibe. The lobby was warm and inviting with lots of wooden décor giving ode to the area’s renown forestry. The hotel is on the smaller side, lacking a gym and large meeting rooms. On the lobby level, there is a small bar and the Andaz Farmers Table where Jen and I had breakfast. Additionally, there is also the Mercantile Terrace, an outdoor dining area located on the 2nd floor.
The Room
Jen and I were booked into a standard room, but upgraded thanks to my World of Hyatt Globalist Status. We ended up getting bumped up to the King Bed Loft room which essentially felt comparable to a suite. The room had a separate sofa area, adequate space, and a large shower. In total, the room was a whopping 450 square feet, 50% larger than the standard room.
Food
Once of the best perks of being a Hyatt Globalist is complimentary breakfast. This perk varies by property but at all boutique hotels includes free breakfast at the onsite restaurant. We had breakfast each morning at the Farmers Table, which served traditional American breakfast offerings with a slightly healthier twist.
Final Thoughts
The Andaz is Hyatt’s luxury boutique brand known for locally inspired, immersive design, and our recent stay at the Andaz Napa reflected that perfectly. Award nights can be difficult to secure, but I was able to book one night using a free night certificate and another for 25,000 points. Located in downtown Napa, the hotel is within easy walking distance of Oxbow Public Market, Gott’s Roadside, and several excellent dining options. The property has a warm, intimate boutique feel, and our Globalist upgrade to a spacious 450 sq ft King Loft made the stay even better. Each morning we enjoyed complimentary breakfast at the Farmers Table, which served fresh takes on classic American dishes.
