Chase Sapphire Lounge BOS: Simply Excellent

The Chase Sapphire Lounge in Boston has a fantastic looking Bar photo by Calvin

Chase has begun to tap into the realm or airport lounge and catering to premium card holders. In recent years, a total of 6 Chase lounges have opened:

Recently, Jen and I were traveling home from Boston and had the opportunity to visit the Chase Sapphire Lounge by the Club in Boston Logan Airport. I had a good understanding of what to expect, but I was truly blown away by this lounge.

Access

Currently, Priority Pass members get 1 visit per calendar year. This visit is good for the cardholder and up to two guest. Priority Pass is a perk that comes with almost any premium credit card, but I have it via the American Express Platinum Card.

Location

The Chase Sapphire Lounge in Boston Airport was tucked away in the connecting area between terminals B and C. Being at the end of two terminals, the area surrounding the lounge was relatively quiet, but was also a long walk from security. You take the elevator up to the lounge where you can check in. The lounge was secluded but also offered a nice view of the tarmac with large windows that let in a nice amount of natural light.

Food

The food was a pleasant surprise and was thoroughly enjoyable. There is a the buffet option which is filled with a variety of small bites and you can also order specialized items on your mobile device via the QR code at each table. What I really enjoyed was the mix of options along with cold brew coffee, which is something that is seldom found at other Priority Pass lounges. The food was solid and I had some smoked salmon, a Greek Yogurt bowl, and a mini breakfast sandwich. Every tasted good and customized items were served very quickly.

Final Thoughts

The Chase Sapphire Lounge is a budding program that is quickly challenging the Centurion Lounge Network. The limited access keeps the number of visitors at bay and I was most definitely surprised by the design of the lounge. The color scheme and careful bar setup was eloquent and really felt premium. If you have the chance, I definitely recommend checking out a Chase Sapphire Lounge.
