Traveling in Italy, Jen and I made it our mission to find some of the best Pasta spots wherever we went. Starting in Milan, we checked out Pasto Laboratorio di Pasta con Cucina along with several other spots. It’s safe to say that Pasto Laboratorio finished on top by a wide margin. Here’s why Pasto Laboratorio is a must try for those traveling to Milan and my full review.

Location
Pasto Laboratorio is perfectly located a short walk from Milan’s Duomo Di Milano. The area was a quick train ride from the Hyatt Centric Milan Centrale. When exploring Milan, you’ll most likely spend a day exploring the areas surrounding the Duomo which makes this spot an ideal place for lunch. Pasto Laboratorio only opens for lunch from noon to 3 or 3:30pm Monday thru Saturday. They are closed on Sundays.
The Food

Jen had a tomato sauce tagliatelle, while I went with a pesto pasta with sun dried tomatoes and chopped pistachios. Man it is truly an understatement when I say everything was utterly delicious. Something about the way the noodles melt in your mouth along with a delicious but light in salt sauce.
My Thoughts
This cute family owned spot served the best pasta I had during my entire time in Italy. With a simple menu and casual atmosphere, Pasto Laboratorio definitely hit the spot. The pasta noodles melted in my mouth and the staff was ultra friendly. I would definitely recommend this spot as it is conveniently located near the Duomo di Milano and is easily accessible by foot. If you’re struggling with directions, Google Maps is a great tool to use. Remember, this spot only opens for lunch so if you’re planning to make a stop, budget time accordingly!
