Best of the Best: Top 10 Hyatt Properties

Hyatt is my go to hotel brand and World of Hyatt is one of my favorite loyalty programs. The company operates more than 1300 properties ranging from elegant luxury to modern and sustainable, there is a brand and property line for all types of travelers

As we approach the end of the year, here is my list of the top 10 Hyatt Properties in the world. The properties on this list follow my travel style and what I tend to look for when traveling.

10) Park Hyatt Zurich

Probably one of the more underrated properties on this list and most traveler’s radar, the Park Hyatt Zurich is a spectacular properly located in scenic downtown Zurich a short walk from their version of Grand Central Station. I had the wonderful opportunity to stay in the Park Suite King with Jen in the Spring of 2023 and we loved every minute of our stay. The suite was more than spacious and service was top of the line.

Breakfast at this property is also splendid. With a full selection of charcuterie and fruits, along with an a la carte menu that is also included in the buffet, breakfast has something for every person. The property exudes a feeling of pure luxury and was definitely the best property we stayed at during our time in Europe!

9) Alila Napa Valley

This property may fall higher on many lists, but the Alila Napa Valley is a gorgeous property located in wine country California. More of a boutique hidden gem than hotel, this property combines an elegant design that truly embodies and combines nature and architecture. From the stone tub to the dark wood accents, this property is amazing. Rates for a weekend stay in a base room begin well over $1,000 making this a great place to redeem Hyatt points if given the chance.

8) Carmel Valley Ranch

A true hidden gem of the unbound collection portfolio by Hyatt, Carmel Valley Ranch is one of my favorite properties due to their surreal location, retreat like vibes, and for being extremely pet friendly. This is one of my favorite places to plan a family vacation and take my two lovely dogs along for the fun.

7)Park Hyatt Kyoto

A perfect blend of Japanese artistry with a modern feel, the Park Hyatt Kyoto has been on my bucket list for quite some time. This property sits the heart of Kyoto which offers a vast contrast to the bustling atmosphere of Tokyo. Kyoto for the most part offers tourist a relaxing and tranquil stay. This property perfect embodies all Kyoto is meant to be.

6)Park Hyatt New York

While the bustling setting isn’t my favorite, the Park Hyatt New York is still one of the best properties in the Hyatt portfolio. This elegant property is located near Central Park and is the true epitome of Hyatt’s take on traditional luxury.

5)Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christopher Harbour

Another Hyatt gem that’s been on my bucket list for a long time, the Park Hyatt St. Kitts is located in St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean. Thos picture perfect property sits in one of the more surreal harbours offering visitors both privacy and splendid views. In some ways, this property reminds me the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabo Pedragal which also offers privacy and seclusion along with some breath taking views of the ocean.

While most won’t have this property on their list, I think this property is often overshadowed by the splendors of the Maldives or the allure of Maui, but in my opinion, this property should be on every travelers bucket list.

4)Park Hyatt Sydney

Another sought after property in Hyatt’s ultra luxurious portfolio, the Park Hyatt Sydney is located by the water and offers incredible views of the Sydney Opera House and other popular landmarks in the city.

3)The Cape, a Thompson Hotel

I got the chance to see this property during the car ride to the Waldorf Los Cabo Pedregal, and I was surely impressed by the design and views of this property. The Cape, part of Thompson brand is located away from the city and provides plenty of privacy and pristine views of the Pacific Ocean. Each room embodies modern luxury!

2) Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa

Potentially a bit overrated this property along with the newly opened Alila Maldives, are the only two properties in Hyatt’s portfolio in the breathtaking cluster of Islands.

This property offers a variety of overwater bungalows and villas, along with breath taking clear waters. This once in a lifetime destination is perfect for couples!

1) Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome

Imagine sipping a delicious cup of coffee, while enjoying the breath taking Parisian views. I’m not exactly sure what it is, but Paris has always been on my bucket list and there is just something this beautiful property that sits at the top of my bucket list. The Park Hyatt Paris is the ultimate luxury in a city that really embodies the idea of elegance.

Special Consideration

Alila Ventana Big Sur

Everyone loves this property due to the extremely great redemption values, but I don’t see the allure of such. While Big Sur California is a nice retreat spot, I’m not too crazy about spending 45,000 points to relax in a rural luxury hotel. I like this property but for 10,000 points or even 15,000 points less per night, the Carmel Valley Ranch is just as good.

Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht

A fantastic properties that feels more boutique than Andaz, the Andaz Amsterdam is located in the heart of the city near the nine streets, a very popular shopping sector of the city. My stay at this property was fantastic and the complimentary breakfast was also well done.

Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono

A splendid property in Hokkaido Japan, this property has secretly been on my bucket list for a number of years. I’ve always wanted to venture to Hokkaido Japan in the winter and enjoy one of the lesser know Park Hyatts in the world.
