Qatar Airways has long been on my bucket list for their top of the line business class cabin famously referred to as Q-Suites. A true pioneer of ultra-luxurious business class, Q-Suites were the first business class seat to offer a suite albeit not full enclosed.

Q-Suite Routes
Q-Suite seats are offered on the airline’s Airbus A350-1000 and A350-900. Additionally the airline also offers the suites on Boeing 777-300ER, 777-200LR, and 787-9. To figure out if your plane offers Q-Suite at the time of booking look for a 1-2-1 seating configuration in the business class cabin. In total the airline offers the innovative product on close to 100 of their planes.
Q-Suite is available on a variety of routes to/from Doha (capital of Qatar). The airline offers this innovative product to parts on the United States, London, Singapore, Tokyo, and Amsterdam among others. The wide selection of routes means more opportunities to fly this amazing cabin. Just be sure to double check the seating configuration at booking as no route features 100% Q-Suite at the time of this post.

Booking
I had an opened ended trip to Asia next year, flying China Airlines to Hong Kong (booked through Air France with points) and then to Thailand via Cathay Pacific (booked with American Miles). Without a return flight I cast a wide net to figure out where to visit next when I came across one ticket from BKK-LHR with a layover in Doha. With the Q-Suite being on my bucket list, this was the perfect time to jump on this deal.
Costing only 70,000 American Airlines Miles and under $80 in fees, this flight was a definite steal. Not only would I have the opportunity to visit Cathay Pacific’s the Pier lounge(one of the best lounges in Asia), China Airlines new-ish business class & lounge, I will also have the opportunity to review both Qatar Airways Business Class cabins and their famously awesome lounge in Doha.
My Thoughts
If you couldn’t tell, I am extremely excited for this opportunity. I would have loved to take Jen with me but she won’t be going with me to Asia. She’ll be traveling with me to Uganda later in the year where we will review both Air Canada and Brussel Airlines business class! Without a return flight from London, I’m also debating my next steps. I’m looking to review a new product as long as there is ample award space. Let me know if you have any suggestions!
